I studied Studio Art and Art History at McDaniel College and Late Antique and Medieval Art at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary where I got the chance to learn, observe, absorb, travel and get to know different cities, cultures and people from all over the world. At the end of 2016 I moved to Gent, ready for a new chapter, curious about what the future holds. I am currently working on art projects, learning Dutch and submerging myself in  the cultural scene in Belgium.

I love cycling, nature and staring at the sky, waiting for the sun to come out.

I love strong contrasts and lively colours; peculiar emotions blended in subtle themes. Depicting general and contemporary topics or personal experiences, or simply quick sketches at the Noord Park in Antwerp, the wine fields outside the city of Florence, a wonderful day with friends at the CEU’s Japanese Garden in Budapest or wherever my bike or life leads me.

I grew up in Onitsha, a city on the bank of the famous Niger River in Nigeria. I also lived in Aba, in Eastern Nigeria, Ibadan and Lagos in Western Nigeria and Abuja in Northern Nigeria. That is why I enjoy painting Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa drummers and dance scenes.

I love music, dance, and the energies we humans create with dance and music. I also like facial expressions and the emotions in our eyes. If you see me staring at you, I am probably studying your eyes and facial expression.

I participated in the 'Window Walk': Drawing Days Festival between Sep 29 - Oct 1, 2017 in Gent, Belgium. I was also one of the artists in the Draw-In-Gent 'Artists without borders' Group Art Exhibition Sep 2017 in Gent, Belgium.

My works have been exhibited both as solo art or in a group art exhibitions in Budapest, Hungary such as: 'Egwu – Our Energy', at CEU Center for Arts and Culture, June 2016; 'My Budapest: Inside the outside world', at Fogashaz, May 2012; 'Colours Festival', at Odeon-Lloyd Cinema, April 2010; 'Ice on Fire', at Vízráktér (Kiraly Turkish Bath), December 2011; and 'Acceptance’, Tűzráktér Cultural Center, May 2011.

I have gotten some recognitions for my works. The ones I cherish most being the recipient of The Zvetlana-Mihaela Tanasa Memorial Award for Special Achievements at CEU, Budapest, Hungary, 2016; being selected as finalist for Inspired by Jackson Pollock Series at Saatchi Online Gallery, London, 2014; and winning The Most Talented Youth Category in Africare Awards, Debrecen, Hungary, 2012.
